Description / Review

A complex yet loved collectable trading card game gets a video game version on the PlayStation. It's basically just a virtual playing card deck with a small RPG element tossed in for good measure. I'm too stupid to understand it, so I'll pass on the review. : )
Trivia
  • The original Yu-gi-oh video game.

  • Released in two different versions; Regular and Premium Edition. The Premium version is the exact same game, only it comes with a shiny cover and 3 exclusive playing cards that go to the real life card game.

  • The real life trading cards have special 8 digit serial numbers that you can use to "transfer" them to the PSX Version. Basically, it allows you to battle virtually with your decks, so you never need to worry about losing or bending the cards!

  • The three cards included in the Premium Pack are worth a combined $100. The game disc sells used for $7. Think about that for a moment.

  • Like the Beanie Babies in McDonald's happy meals, the game was notorious for being bought simply for the cards, then discarded or sold right back to the store it was bought at it. This is why you'll usually see used bins full of the game.

Greatest Hits
This game was never released as a Greatest Hits.
Variations / Misprints
Released in two different versions; Regular and Premium Edition. The Premium version is the exact same game, only it comes with a shiny cover and 3 exclusive playing cards that go to the real life card game. Please see the separate entry for information on that version.
