Review
A very basic and brutally boring fighting game. Running off what's left of the
Thrill Kill engine, you control 9 rappers on their quest to
rescue their Wu-Tang clan master. While it supports up to four players
(a rarity outside of the football games on the PlayStation), the
sluggish control combined with some poor enemy detection causes you to
give up after about 20 minutes. The only reason to pick this up is if
you're a Wu-Tang fan or you just need to see Method Man perform a
Fatality. |
Trivia
- The disc contains 3
exclusive Wu-Tang music tracks.
- The game features a
true blood code, in which if not entered correctly at the title
screen, the game will remain in Low Violence mode. The code you need
to enter at said screen is Square, Circle, X, X, Square, Triangle,
Circle, Square. There will be no sound to let you know it
worked.
- Wu-Tang is the
re-programmed version of the original hype game Thrill Kill. After
taking way too much heat from that version's overly sexual and S & M
type moves, the developers slowly changed it to just Shaolin, and then eventually added in the Wu-Tang license.
Personally, I'd have preferred Thrill Kill.
- All 9 members of the
Wu-Tang clan provided voice-overs, music tracks, sound effects, and
other contributions. This is probably the first game where the
licensee on the cover had as much work in the game as the actual
developers did!
