Description / Review
A month and a half after the incident of Resident Evil 1, we now find S.T.A.R.S. member Jill Valentine resigned from her post and now fighting to get out of the city she once protected. With the other team members dead or away on assignment, her only hope for survival lay in the hands of her bullet making abilities and a rogue Umbrella soldier named Carlos.

Enclosures
If you are looking for the "with demo" copy of RE3, the following is a picture of what an original, 'complete' version will look like:

Trivia
  • Resident Evil 3 takes place in various parts of Raccoon City, including the original Police Station from Resident Evil 2. The main difference is that here you can now see the after effects of the town folks desperate attempts to keep the zombies out as several key locations are now 'boarded up'.

  • This incarnation introduced several new features not found in the previous releases:
    • You can now create your own bullets, their characteristics determined by which powders you use.
    • There is now a "180 Degree Spin" button, allowing you instant access to zombies behind you.
    • Several points in the story arc require you to make a decision. These course of actions help determine the ending you receive, as well as control which hidden sequences you'll see.
    • The first Resident Evil to have a random generator, where certain key codes are different each time you play.

  • This was released in two versions: with and without the Dino Crisis demo. See Variations below.

  • Game play takes place a month and a half after RE1, but somewhere within the 24 hours of RE2.

  • Known in Japan as "Biohazard 3: Last Escape"

  • Jill's RE3 outfit and part of the storyline are lifted and used in the Hollywood Movie sequel Resident Evil: Apocalypse

Greatest Hits
Resident Evil 3 was released as a Greatest Hits sans the Dino Crisis demo disc. Pictures coming soon.

Variations / Misprints
The initial print run of Resident Evil 3 came with a playable demo of Dino Crisis. They came packaged in a slim double jewel case and advertised it as well with a different manual.

Besides the manual variation, and case change, the back insert also now has the "2 CD" logo and a slightly different barcode. The last three digits are 56 5, rather then 49 7.
