Discussion
With the absolutely dismal experience had playing Fox Sports Golf ’99, I walked into this game’s playing time with very little hope. While I was pleasantly surprised with the results, it’s by no means the great game it should be.

As far as positives go, the game is thankfully no where near the crap fest that the golf game was. The control is fairly accurate in terms of player movement and shooting, though passing never felt right. Camera angles are well thought out and keeps the pace moving in regards to various play mechanics. Audio and voice-overs are fine as well. The menu system is a bit more player friend this time around too.

Overall though, the game really doesn’t hold your interest for too long, especially if you’re not into sports. There’s never any sense of excitement to the action, even with the nice pacing. Since none of the players or teams are real, there no historical aspect to the game like Fifa or Madden might have.

Not a terrible game by any means, but unless you’re a complete collector, there’s no real need for the game.

Trivia
  • If one of your game's features is "controlling the replay speeds", you may want to go back and put a few more features in.

  • There is no official license from soccer leagues - the game used generic teams and names.

  • It does offer play-by-play in both English and Spanish.
