Discussion
A beautiful collection that by all rights should have also had Final Fantasy III with it. Take your NES classics, slap new paint on them and provide some fan service to the mix. If you haven't already re-bought them on another platform, you'll love these versions.

Trivia
  • Variants, including the Silver Bottom. See Below.

  • Before the DS versions came along, and the PS2 got Final Fantasy X, the PlayStation One had every FF game except 3. I remember quite vividly, being a fan boy of both the deck and the numbered games, being adamantly pissed that they wouldn't have had the entire collection (at the time) on the system. Complete-ist collector genes for the win. ^_-

  • I haven't had enough time with FF2 to know, but FF1 has two insanely tough, but worth while grind areas for the experience hunters. On the world map, there's a small section of trees, 2 x 2 icons, near the water that holds insanely powerful characters. Also, inside the volcano, on the left side of the floors is an area called the Hall of Giants. Each step is fight with a giant, it's variants, and other small characters. Back in the NES days, I use to make a snack, and just 'walk the walk' in the Hall all day to gain the max level 50.
Variants / Misprints
The GH release is of the SLUS-GH and +1 PSRM variety. Please note that there is no way to tell the difference between sealed copies of the regular GH and the Silver Bottom GH.
