When these games came out, they defined what adventures should be. Since then, they have become the most popular and sought after titles in history. Now you can experience the re-release of two complete, classic games, enhanced with all-new cinemas and features never before seen in the U.S.

Discussion
Chrono Cross and FF4 both suffer minor issues with load times, which can really hinder game play when it comes to random battles. Otherwise, this is a fairly straight-forward re-release. Keep in mind the Final Fantasy IV on this disc is actually the Hard Mode that was once Japanese exclusive - the original, US version of IV was the 'Easy Mode' version.

  • While it's practically impossible to see, the black label discs actually have artwork on them! Chrono Trigger has a faint clock image on it, while Final Fantasy IV looks like it has the water pattern from the inside insert on it.
     
  • The funny thing about Origins, Chronicles, and Anthology - the games are now absolutely huge in Meg size compared to their original versions. You could have fit the entire 1 - 6 on a single disc with the Emulator easily - if it weren't for all that new CG movie silliness.
Variants / Misprints
There are two releases in this department. The first is the original Greatest Hits. So far it seems like Squaresoft never got the chance to print a GH under their name, and only Square Enix versions exist. Both follow the SLUS GH format, but they now carry the + 1 PSRM.

The Silver Bottom version's only marker as far as identifying it is the deeper, richer black case.
