Review
Here’s a kids game that actually works on a kids level. The game is set-up in a 2D fashion with 3D graphics. You move left to right, jumping or whacking trees to collect leaves. Each level requires 30 leaves to be captured. All four dinosaurs run through the same stages, just with character specific cinemas. Also included is a puzzle mini-game, where completion of said puzzles opens up the finished pictures in a small gallery.

What’s really nice is the game’s progressive difficulty set-up. The first few stages more or less baby step you through, but each next stage afterwards starts introducing small jumps, which lead into longer jumps, which lead into multiple jumps, etc. For you platform junkies, imagine Pandemonium without the psychotic twisting and turning.

Over all it’s a solid young children’s title.

Trivia
  • The game is loosely based on the home video The Land Before Time: Journey To Big Water.

  • Over time, chronologically, the series went from full 3D, to 3D always moving forward, to 2D movement in 3D graphics. Following this backwards evolution trend, the next game had it come out would have probably been Land Before Time: Pong!
