Trivia
  • Grand Theft Auto's original 3 cities were the focus of the three separate PlayStation 2 games; Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas.

  • The manual's back page contains the real text of a state's 'grand theft auto' definition and penalty.

  • Grand Theft Auto became the first and only US PlayStation game to have an Append Disc. Computer players would refer to it as an Expansion Pack. Grand Theft Auto: London required the original GTA to play.

  • Both GTA and GTA: London would be released in a 2 Disc "Director's Cut" package. Aside from the jewel case inserts, everything else, right down to the SLUS information, is the same. This is why there is no extra variant information listed below.

  • This game disgusted a radio show host named Dr. Laura way back in the day due to it's game play possibilities.

  • By in-game measurements, there are over 6,000 km of landscape.
