Description
In a fantastic world divided by class and race, technology from a mysterious source has imbued a young prince with the key to unimaginable power. By means of a Neural Network Computer fueled by the grey matter of unfortunate 'volunteers', he plans to conquer the known world, replacing it with a new order of his design. The only fly in the ointment is disturbing reports of two powerful Elementals storming across the land on a direct course toward the palace. One or two players can assume the identities of these Elementals as they crusade for an unknown master toward a climactic battle. The gripping story unfolds by means of heart-stopping fully-3D action levels interspersed with gorgeous hand-drawn animation scenes.

This is the game for which VISA was invented--what are you waiting for?

Review
A role-playing inspired light gun game where you play two Elementals who must take down an Empire. An absolutely gorgeous soundtrack compliments a great game that has good pacing and a neat experience point system. Game's only drawback comes from some of the difficulty tweaks WD made.

Highly recommended.

Trivia
  • Working Design's only light gun game release.

  • WD added 12 hidden items in the game to assist in the $10,000 contest they were running with it at the time of release.

  • The staff actually took the time to review several light guns that were available for the system at the game's launch, including the GunCon and the Justifier.

  • Two variant releases, see below.

  • Both inserts are numerically attached to their respective disc via the PSRM number located in the bottom right corner of the insert. Incidentally, if both rear inserts are removed, you can actually just merge them at one corner and see almost the 'whole' picture of the girls in the isolation tank.

  • Considered by some to be more RPG than light gun game, including WD themselves, who placed the game in the RPG division rather than their SPAZ shooter division.

Variations / Misprints
No variation or misprints known.

The CD Sets
There are two total sets of variants; each corresponds to one of the two girls the player controls. Both CDs have a matching back insert. The back inserts have the girls in their confinement chamber, with the CD having the girls in their respective armor.
  • SLUS - 00654 / PSRM - 010140 (Nell in Armor / Nell in Confinement)
  • SLUS - 00654b / PSRM - 010141 (Seana in Armor / Seana in Confinement)

Here's the problem though; like several other WD variants, the variant numerology is not in order. Here the SLUS goes from 'blank' to 'B'. With Alundra, there was an 'A' in between the two of them. The closest other example in this situation is Silhouette Mirage, where the variants were 'B' and 'C'. So far no other variants have popped up.
