Description
With Friends Like These, Who Needs Enemies?

Hey! You're not afraid of a challenge, are you? Of course not! You laugh in the face of fear...all three of them.

Use your ghostly skills to solve complex puzzles, find secret passageways, hidden clues, and locate lost pieces of the dismantled Lazarus Machine. Based on the hit movie, including some of the same great 3D animation, hilarious gags and original character voices, Casper is a challenging adventure for you, your family and your friends! Just remember to choose your friends carefully!

Review
An exploration and puzzle game, what could have been a neat movie tie-in instead becomes a very boring and repetitive chore to play. Too much button pressing and not enough actual content. I'd ask how this ever became a Greatest Hits, but I keep reminding myself WCW Nitro is one too...

Trivia
  • The 'garbage' you see in the in the two screenshots are actually a mixture of in-game sprites and garbled textures. For whatever reason the only time these didn't creep into my screen captures was in the cinema sequences. Kind of...spooky, no? :)

  • This was originally a 3DO game, and ported to the PlayStation and Saturn roughly 3 months later.

  • All of the ghosts retain their original movie cast member voice-overs.

  • There's a programmer's cheat where you can fly up and over the walls of the house, and eventually reach a room where you can collect every single item in the game in one fell swoop. It's probably the only time an "Unlock Everything" code still required you to actually physically pick it all up.
