CD Review
A really weird CD, not released at
retail. Somewhat of an eclectic collection artists and song choices.
- There are various
PlayStation game sound bites sprinkled throughout the tracks.
X-Cops’ song opens with Ridge Racer sound effects and
voice-overs. Heather Nova’s begins with Battle Arena Toshinden
sound effects, and so on.
- The CD artwork
specifically states “For Licensed Broadcast Use Only” – which leads
one to believe that this was only intended for events or radio
broadcasting.
- An email
address of
psx@ww1.com turns up bounced back emails.
WW1 is assumed to be the copyright holder Westwood One, Inc’s
abbreviation.
- ENOS Lives was
Sony’s double edged slogan – On one hand, it’s phonetically ‘sony’
(Son EE), however, with the red colored E, it was also phonetically
abbreviated from “Ready: Ninth of September”, the PlayStation’s
original US Launch date.
