Discussion
A surprisingly robust Trade Demo among many limited ones. 5 playable characters and a fully functional if slightly clipped campaign mode. This was one of the first games to truly make the American public blush as Tecmo introduced the absolute definition of "bounce physics" into the lexicon. Yes, Mai in King of Fighters '94 had the animation down, but trust me...Tecmo had the 'physics'...and they aren't even remotely close to real life. ^_^
Trivia
  • This is one of the rare 'public' demos that actually acts like a demo. The game is clearly in mid-translation with missing text, Japanese text still in place, and occasionally glitches depending on specific situations, and simple holders where video should be. Also of note: the developers clearly wanted to tease the journalists with the costumes - there are at least 20 slots visible for each character, but you can only select between 2 to 4 per player.

  • There is only one build for the order of fighters, which is why the beach scene repeats so often - it was always the first stage.

  • Tecmo decided to have some interesting fun with their trade demos. Where most just had the standard sleeve and CD, Tecmo cut out and pasted on the game's actual logos to the CD and envelope.
